Sophisticated eclectic-ethnic design---blues and black punched out with orange and printed on cream. Reminds me of antique textiles and rugs, and this color combo will be great with denims and jeans. From a SF designer who creates her own print designs which are then printed on beautiful quality German rayon/lycra knit which have both good weight for tops, skirts, dresses and a beautiful hand and drape.
I pre-shrink by tossing in the washer & drier, then once the garment is made, wash on gentle and air dry.

From a renowned SF designer, light weight mesh tulle in a dark brown. I made V8559, view B as a vest in this fabric, used it double, and it is a pivotal wardrobe piece, I wear it all year. Takes about 2 yards and I save the scraps for trims. I originally found the fabric in Paris, this is also from a European mill.

Sophisticated and whimsical floral in turquoise, gray and black with shots of lavender printed on cream. Reminds me of my friend Carrie Marie, a painter who loves flowers. From a SF designer who creates her own print designs which are then printed on beautiful quality German rayon/lycra knit which have both good weight for tops, skirts, dresses and a beautiful hand and drape.

I like the unexpected combination of these two fabrics, think they would make a great collage/pieced T, or fun for a twin set. |

Soft double faced/double woven knit in gray and turquoise/teal. Narrow stripes on one side reverses to little square dots on the other. Stripes run crosswise. Good crosswise stretch, minimal lengthwise stretch. There is no lycra in this fabric, so stretch recovery is minimal. Cozy soft hand, good drape, minimal rolling. I like the look of the raw edge, the 2 sides 'bloom', but don't ravel, so I might use raw seams sewn to the outside. This is the kind of striped/dot knit that I collect for my own stash. It is a good candidate for a top or t-shirt or for Marcy's new upside down/inside out jacket, Vogue 8653.

From a renowned SF designer, shimmery Japanese mesh knit in a muted pewter gray. I'd use it double for sleeves (1 1/2 yards approx for this), and also for trims, edgings and bindings. Rare quality.

From Armani, an exceptional ponte in one of the designer's subtle off tone gray in a shade made famous by Dior. Hard to photograph. Great quality fabric. Would make a fabulous t or soft pants. I am not positive about the exact fiber content, guessing rayon/poly/lycra in that order.

From Missoni, via a bay area designer known for her dramatic clothing and color sense. Unique, chic and a great accent in neutral colors. Diamond pattern in cotton/rayon threads embroidered on semi-transparent black mesh knit. Great for a simple little t, tunic or a cardi. I see this used as a layering piece to wear over black, gray, taupe and brown tones.
Limited quantity
nylon/lycra mesh, cotton/rayon (my guess) embroidery

Gray and black inch wide cross grain stripes in a soft sweater knit. Good stretch in both directions, use either side. I'm contemplating a cardi or sweater vest, cut with the stripes going vertical and using the Gray/Black Mini Stripe as trim.
mystery blend, I'm guessing acrylic/lycra and ???

Fine quality cotton/lycra jersey in mini black/gray crosswise stripes. Has good 4-way stretch so you could use it either direction (or even on the bias). Would make a great basic little t, or get some for trim, sleeves, edgings.

The season's top accent color, a rich deep orange/persimmon in a soft cozy sweater knit. Cozy and soft with good drape. Mystery fiber content, I am guessing an acrylic/rayon/lycra blend. Some rolling at cut edge. The weight could make a soft T, tunic or cardigan.
The color works with our Copper Blush and Coral Shibori knits.

Rich autumn brown in a lovely semi-sheer jersey burnout knit with an overall feminine baroque burnout pattern. From a California designer. From an upscale nationally known designer (clue: starts with St.) I bought every scrap available from the supplier. Ideal for foolproof pants, jackets, dresses, travel, building a wardrobe. If you wear black, you will want to scoop up something from this collection!
This very black-black knit is exceptional quality, will be perfect for cooler weather dry hand and amazing drape. I'm making travel pants to take to Paris in November from this one!
