Black dappled painterly spots on warm toned dark olive green in a beautiful quality Tencel (rayon) challis. Printed on a beautiful quality tencel twill, first printed in olive green, then over printed in black in a one way design. Reverses to white with a shadow of the print  on the back side. Tencel, is a fiber made from the wood pulp of trees that are grown and replaced on specialized tree farms. Unlike most cellulose fabrics, Tencel is produced using recyclable, earth-friendly solvents. Challis has an appealing soft hand with a beautiful drape.

Mid weight, right for a blouse, top, tunic, dress, soft pant or skirt.

Textile trivia: the word challis (say shal-ee) comes from a Native American word for 'soft', the word that the native people used when the French traders showed them soft wool/linen broadcloth, and now is used to describe soft and drapey rayons and wools.

Pre-treat by wash gentle, air dry. Test a swatch if you want to put it in the dryer.
