Subtle and sophisticated geometric print in warm desert tones in crepe du Chine silk, deadstock from a Los Angeles designer. Light and airy with a cool dry hand and liquid drape. Right for a dress, tunic, shirt, skirt, jumpsuit, caftan, soft pants, or luxurious lining.
I cut silkies and sheers on top of paper, squaring off the end to align the grain. Use tissue or pattern making paper, ok to tape together to the width of the fabric. Place the pattern on the fabric, pattern pieces on top, then pin and cut through all the layers. This keeps the shape of the pattern pieces so you can move them around to mark. Sew with a sharp point fine #70 needle. French seams are perfect with this fabric.
Pre-treat by dip cool and air dry.
