Dimensional Dot Cardi
One garment I know I will wear a lot is a black cardigan. The times call for cozy and practical, something to feel good from the inside out. I wanted simple lines for the textured fabric. Vogue 1689 is designed as a blouse, and the fabric has some loft, so I cut it longer, added at the side seams and raised the neck opening about ¾ " all the way around. I used a plain black cotton knit for the facings, pocket welt and pocket.
This sumptuous, textured Japanese Dimensional Dot double weave sweater knit comes in black, navy, ivory and gray.
I'm going to love this on cool days ahead!
Beth sewed the main seams on the machine, then hand stitched the seams and edges, and hand stitched the snaps in place. The hem edges are left raw.
Even though our days are hot right now, Beth wears this in the cool mornings as she rides her bike the mile from home, over the river to the golf cart to drive down the road to work in the ArtBarn.
