Black And White Stripe Dragonfly Italian Taffeta WovenMarcy Tilton Fabrics
Black and white striped taffeta from an Italian mill has black dragonflies embroidered overall. One of the most cool (and unusual) fabrics I've ever encountered, produced for edgy LA designer Dress To Kill. The horizontal stripes alternate a classic taffeta finish with a white pinstripe stripe. Stripes are about 1/2" apart. The embroidery is stitched with a fine elastic thread so it stretches, giving the fabric texture as well as stretch, and creating a puckered dimensional effect. The base fabric is silky smooth and light weight with a soft, malleable, sculptural drape. Truly a fabric to allow to speak for itself!
