Black Ice Italian Taffeta WovenMarcy Tilton Fabrics
Cutting edge black taffeta from an Italian mill for LA couturier Jane Mohr/Dress To Kill. Has an overall permanent crinkle - the yarns are blended with micro metallic threads which give the fabric a malleable scupltural quality, so it will gently hold a crinkle or pleat, releasing it slowly. (Has very fine crosswise ribs, but no metallic shine at all). Light/mid with a smooth hand and lightly crisp drape. Quietly beautiful - this is is the type of fabric I see in upper end clothes in Paris and search for in my own wardrobe as it will slide on easily over/under other garments, is flattering, and is ideal for travel and wardrobe building - no wrinkling and will fold flat to almost nothing. Perfect for a layering vest, jacket or duster coat. Right for a blouse, tunic, top, skirt or dress. Dress up or down, a 3 season fabric.
Pre-treat by hand launder cool and air dry.
