Frandosa French Viscose Challis WovenMarcy Tilton Fabrics
Abstract tesselated leaves in warm brown, rust and gold accented with black on a warm white background digitally printed on an uber drapey rayon/viscose challis from a French mill. Light weight, opaque,(no lingerie show through), with a smooth cool dry hand, airy fluid drape and minimal wrinkling, the weight is right for a top, blouse, tunic, dress or skirt. Textile trivia: the word challis (say shal-ee) comes from a Native American word for 'soft', the word that the native people used when the French traders showed them soft wool/linen broadcloth, and now is used to describe soft and drapey rayons and wools. The touch of nylon (always a sign of upper end fabrics), adds smoothness and reduces wrinkling. One way design, 30" repeat. Frandosa means leafy in Spanish.
Hand launder and air dry.
