Fine grained cotton designed by a Japanese textile artist with a hand painted effect in warm toned ivory and pearlized brush stroke accents on silky smooth cotton sateen with a subtle luster. The central panel is a collage of hand painted tones and the contrast pearlized brush strokes run along the selvedge edges and horizontally across the fabric in a 24" repeat. Cotton sateen is a popular warm weather clothing fabric in Japan, as it is breathable and very comfortable...and, a pleasure to sew with and to wear. Opaque, smooth, supple, soft, light shirting weight is great for a blouse, dress, shirt or top and would be perfect for children's clothes.
Hand launder, machine wash gentle and air dry. After sewing, I recommend wash gentle and air dry.
