Old school linen (probably from old stock), reminds me of vintage kitchen textiles. Crisp and beefy, cream with printed dark blue grid. In truth, I bought this to make myself an ironing board cover, and while you COULD use it for a structured jacket, I see it used for home dec, accessories or crafting. I machine washed a piece, air dried half, tossed the other half in the dryer. It softened up a bit, the dryer sample got very wrinkled while the air dried piece had a softer overall wrinkle. I suspect that it will soften over time. I can see it used for bags, aprons, pillows or....a chic and practical ironing board cover! I make my covers 2 layers, bind the edge with purchased wide cotton bias binding, leaving 2 openings midway, run a strong cord through and, voila! When it gets soiled, remove and turn over.
Pre-treat by wash gentle and air dry.
