Rich blue and white double ikat 'donut' dots hand woven cotton from India, naturally blurry in a charming way...some of the most interesting and soulful fabrics are coming out of India today where textile traditions continue.
Double Ikat is a technique in which both warp and the weft are resist-dyed prior to weaving, so it it is the most difficult to make and more expensive.
Mid/light weight, opaque with a lightly textured appealing cool hand and airy drape. The weight is right for a tunic, shirt, jacket, vest, dress, skirt or soft pants. This is one of those fabrics that will just keep getting better over time.
