Softly muted red, green, gold and turquoise combine with black and white in a beautiful double ikat rectangular grid in a hand woven cotton from India. Some of the most interesting and soulful fabrics are coming out of India today where textile traditions continue. Double Ikat is a technique in which both warp and the weft are resist-dyed prior to weaving, so it it is the most difficult to make and more expensive. Soft and light shirting weight, semi-opaque with an appealing cool hand and airy drape. The weight is right for a tunic, shirt, light vest, dress, skirt or soft pants. This is one of those fabrics that will just keep getting better over time. Ideal for warm weather travel.
Pre-treat by wash gentle and air dry. Launder separately.
