Black and white abstract circles, dots and stripes on an airy China silk, deadstock from an LA designer. Lightweight, semi-sheer with a smooth cool hand and liquid airy drape. One way design, 26" repeat. Right for a dress, shirt, tunic, skirt, to use as a floaty layer, to line or not.
I cut sheers and silkies on top of paper, squaring off the end to align the grain. Place the pattern on the fabric, pin and cut through all the layers. The paper keeps the shape of the pattern pieces so you can move them around to mark without distorting the shape. Sew with a sharp fine needle. French seams are perfect with this fabric.
Pre-treat by dip in cool water and air dry.
