Ombra Crepe Back Satin Woven

Crepe back satin is an old school fabric (think slinky '30's evening gowns) that combines the luxurious appearance of satin with the matte, textured feel of crepe. This very nice version is deadstock produced in Italy for a NYC designer. Lightweight, but with substance, opaque, has a fluid drape with matte satin on one side, fine grained crepe on the other - use either or both sides. Versatile - right for a dress, skirt, shirt, soft pants, evening and loungewear, and makes a luxurious lining. Marcy says, 'The acetate/viscose is an ideal blend; silky smooth, breathable, soft, smooth, and can be hand laundered.'
