Gentle drawstring trouser with side pockets and a false fly, cut to sit on the waist. Features 3 versions – cropped & tapered trouser, wide straight trouser or shorts.

All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.

Skill level - beginner.

Fabric suggestions - linen, linen blends, tencel, tencel/linen, 3-5oz denim, cotton chambray, indian handweaves, very fine wool or corduroy.
Also: rayon crepe, rayon challis, jersey knits, Liberty cottons, silk charmeuse

Marcy says, this classic style could become a go-to favorite for casual pants - loungewear, yoga, soft floaty little summer cropped pants. I'd substitute elastic for the drawstring, make a crushed velvet version for the holidays, silk charmeuse for spring, jersey as a year round basic.
