Classic marled (indigo interwoven with ivory threads) indigo denim, impeccable quality deadstock, produced in Italy for LA designer/artist Sterling Ruby* for S.R. Studio. Lightweight, with a smooth hand, reversing to pale marled ivory/indigo, with a soft, fluid drape. Right for a shirt, shacket, vest, tunic, dress, skirt, soft pants, workwear, children's and menswear. Marcy says, 'I love finding deadstock with this quality and interesting backstory. While this clothing line is no longer in production, it is a stroke of luck to find some of their deadstock fabrics.'

*At his Los Angeles studio, Sterling Ruby bleaches large rolls of canvas and denim to use for his fabric collages and sculptures. Taking inspiration from the quilters of Gee's Bend in Alabama, as well as Boro textiles from Japan, he makes quilts from scraps of the bleached denim and other materials left over from the production of other artworks.
