Shalimar Hand Embroidered Indian Cotton Woven - SOLD BY THE CUT

Hand-embroidered flowers in rich pinks on warm-white cotton muslin/lawn. This deadstock, originally produced for an LA designer, combines machine embroidery with hand stitching, made one length at a time by artisans in India, so you can feel the craft in every stitch and see the maker’s touch on the reverse. Offered in necessarily short cuts as it is produced in 2 1/2 - 5 yard lengths. Lightweight shirting weight, semi-opaque, with a cool, dry hand, softly textured embroidery, and an airy, graceful drape. Ideal for blouses, tunics, shirts, dresses, skirts, kimono, caftans, crafting, home decor or children’s wear.

Note: If you order 2 cuts in the 2 3/4 yard option, we can send in one continuous piece if available.

Pre-treat by hand launder, cold water and air dry. Do not put in the dryer as the embroidery can shrink at a different rate than the base fabric. Always test a sample first.
