Striking multi-colored double ikat squares on black form a graceful grid in a hand-woven cotton from India. Some of the most interesting and soulful fabrics are coming out of India today where textile traditions continue. Double Ikat is a technique in which both warp and the weft are resist-dyed prior to weaving, so it it is the most difficult to make and creates ikat's signature blurred edges. Mid/light weight, opaque with a lightly textured appealing cool hand, 11½" repeat and airy drape. The weight is right for a tunic, shirt, light jacket, vest, dress, skirt or soft pants.

Pre-treat by wash/dry gentle. After sewing wash gentle and air dry.
