Black Oak Ripples Japanese Cotton Woven

Cutting edge contemporary textile technology with a sophisticated effect! Deepest black and white stripe shirting cotton with mechanically created pintucks which give an overall crinkle pattern. Finest quality Japanese cotton blend with a smooth and silky hand. The tucks add both a bit of dimension/texture and some crosswise stretch - (similar to the effect of stitching with a double needle). Has a silky smooth appealing hand and the tucks create a soft airy lightly crisp drape. The surprise with this fabric is that the mechanical tucks create a crosswise stretch with excellent recovery, so you could use as a stretch woven. Some of our customers have discovered that it makes great pants. The weight is right for a shirt, tunic, light jacket, skirt, dress or vest.
