Impeccable quality fine grained linen designed by a Japanese textile artist in shades of blue printed on pure white. The asymmetrical design has white borders and moves across the width from a bright cobalt blue to dark midnight, each blue tone having a brush stroke effect. Subtle and beautiful! Linen is a popular warm weather clothing fabric in Japan, as it is breathable and very comfortable...and, a pleasure to sew with and to wear. Opaque, supple, soft light linen shirting weight is great for a blouse, dress, shirt or top and would be perfect for children's clothes. Makes lovely accessories, small bags, pot holders, table linens etc too. One way design, 24" repeat.

Pre treat by hand laundering or machine wash gentle and air dry. You can toss linen in the dryer if you want all over wrinkles, but always pre test a sample, some fabrics respond well, others not so well. Test Test Test. After laundering hand wash or machine launder gentle and air dry. I like to take my linens out of the laundry while still very wet, hang on a hanger and pull and smooth the seams and hems, allowing the weight of the water to do the work, then touch up with an iron or not.

After sewing, I recommend wash gentle and air dry.
