Beautiful quality mid shirting weight cotton in black with hand batiked all over soft gray-white irregular dots. Lightly textured, opaque, with an appealing cool dry hand, light drape. The weight is right for a shirt, tunic, blouse, vest, light jacket, dress, skirt, soft pants, jumpsuit, kimono or caftan. Also great for quilting, home dec, and crafting.
As shown below, I made my version in V9112 (lengthened), and wear in cool weather with the fitted little t-shirt from V1860 in black rayon jersey over leggings or narrow pants.
Made to order in India, and shipped directly to us from there. These fabrics have a beauty and integrity that reflect the presence of the hands that made them.
Pre-treat by wash/dry gentle. This is a hand-dyed fabric, so I'd recommend giving it a couple of washings. After sewing, machine wash gentle and air dry so the black does not fade.
