Hand stenciled in the manner of Fortuny, soft purple silk velvet with a bronze gold metallic baroque design. I shopped at the Fortuny store in Paris last spring and saw fabrics like this (priced at 450 euros a meter), used for jackets, vests, pillows, handbags. I can't say that this is from Fortuny, but it has the same look, feel, and beautiful quality. Deadstock from an LA designer, found on my recent LA trip, a thrill to discover. The paint adds a bit of body to the panne velvet, mid weight, soft hand and drape. Right for a jacket, vest, coat, kimono, decor, accessories.
