Vanilla Sprinkles Japanese Cotton Woven

A delicate scattering of pastel flowers float on a warm white ground in a fine double gauze cotton from Japanese designer Naomi Ito for Nani Iro. Light/shirting-weight with a lightly textured hand and soft drape. The unique weave is actually two layers of fine light cotton woven together, joined at regular intervals, and the effect is airy yet opaque and stable; a popular clothing fabric in Japan, as it is breathable, supple, soft, and very comfortable in both cool and warm weather, a pleasure to sew with and to wear. Right for both tops and bottoms, a dress, tunic, shirt, light jacket, vest, kimono, caftan, duster coat, soft pants, or children's clothes. Makes lovely accessories as well -- small bags, pot holders, table linens, etc. One-way print with a 24" repeat.
